Saturday, we had a day full of plans. We started out with B1's softball game first thing at 9am. His team lost 12-4 but yesterday they won something like 14-6. After his game we headed up to Dahlonega for a visit with the FIL. We had lunch at the BEST BBQ stand in Georgia, called the Kitchen (Farmhouse Produce)!!! The pork is smoked all night long(OMG it's sooo good it'll make your mouth water just thinking about it), they also make there own sauce. The House is the hottest of them all and will set your BUTT on fire!!! But it is AWESOME. Plus we LOVE SUGAR and her Shack!!! (Next time I'll take some pics) Sugar is their Bulldog that has her own little Shack(apartment) right beside the restaurant.
Back at FIL's house we had a day of much need family time! Just spending time with the kiddos. We raced (Brianna beat me 6of 10x's), Kaleb created a bird perch on a tree, they hunted for squirrels and birds, Rick, FIL and I all shot our guns at the target in the woods (an old water heater), the kids played hide and seek, we went exploring in the woods around his property, before going in to watch a movie the kids fed the chickens. It was one of the best days this year spent as a family! I love having moment like this, because I know years from now the kids will remember!! I enjoy making wonderful memories with our kids!!!
Love ya, until next time

Fake tattoos
Hubbie and I are all about letting our kids be themselves and expressing them in creative ways. One just happens to be fake tattoos. The boys are always putting as many as they can on at one time, pretty much copying hubbie. B1 comes in the living room the other day, holding a rag to his cheek. Me, being a tad bit surprised because I didn't hear any crying or screaming, I jumped up an out my comfy spot freaking out. I asked him, "What happened?" He giggles, " Nothing Momma, look!" He moves his hand from his handsome little cheek and what do you know the boy has put a tattoo on his cheek! What can I say only in my house!! He asks, "You like them, Momma?" "Of course, I do that's a creative place you put them in!" ;-) Me trying not to crack up laughing!!! Next thing, I know he comes back in with the other cheek done, his chest and left his arm. Mind you, they are all some form of snake, skull or dragon. Wishing I would have taken his picture now! We ended up having to go to the store that evening and as we pull up, B1 goes "I don't wanna go in the store, I want to stay in the car!" I am looking at him like you never reject going to the store? So I ask him, " Why not?" "Because people will make fun of me, they'll judge me, Momma." People this is my 6yr old saying this to me! I talk to him find out that he feels this way because he has tattoos on his face and don't want people to laugh or make funny faces. Now, I have taught my kids early on that we don't make fun of, laugh, smirk, and never stare at people who are different. We give our normal smile and keep it moving! If, they have questions they are to wait and ask when later. My kids are very good at this!!! I really want them to see the beauty from within! I simply explained to him that people are going to stare and probably judge him, but he should walk with his head up and be proud of his tattoos!! Needless, to say the old man greeter, and two different women said they thought his tattoos were cool and he shouldn't hide them. Wow, didn't realize what a big deal fake tattoos could be! But, I believe through this he has learned that just because some may not like what he does, they don't have to live with it or him so who cares about their opinion. On another note, trying to get them off before school on Tuesday was a little rough, so I don't think he will be putting anymore on his face. We had to use alcohol pads to get them off. lol BOYS!!

Wow, what a week! Last week went by pretty slow and hectic. It was just one thing after another. Last Sat. on our way back from the park (previous post) the check engine light came on in the Durango. Really? We have only had it 4wks! So, we stopped by Auto zone to have the code read. Of course, what is it, the transmission! Now, for those of you who don't know the last two vehicles we've had, have had transmission problems. Now I am crying!!! I just started to break down, blaming Rick for everything, of course. lol (He is such a good man for taking my crap!) Sparks Cars(car dealer we bought it from) is closed until Tuesday so we had to park it until then. Needless to say we took it Tuesday and finally got it back on Thursday not having to pay a dime bc it was under warranty. How about this, Friday, Rick gets in the car to go to the store and his car won't start now!!! This is after he just changed the oil and the brakes. It turns out to be the fuel filter which, thankfully in his car is easy! Meanwhile, all the car problems are going on I have decided to spend $12 and give the bathroom a "face lift." We went and bought molding or better yet "casing" (tech terms) to put around the mirror. Wow, that made a huge difference!!! I love it!!!
I forgot to mention about this past Saturday, Rick and the boys had their first backyard camping night together! The boys did great!!! Rick helped them roast hotdogs, marshmellows, played the guitar for them, sat back with them and took in all the night sounds, they also star gazed a little( we have too many trees). The boys were out cold by 10pm! They woke up Sunday Morning just as proud as can be of them selves. Next they want to go Dove, and Deer hunting with daddy!! I wonder if they can be quiet enough?Well until next time love ya'll!!!

A quick update
I haven''t wrote much. Not really into this blog thing yet. I thought I was ready for it but seems as though there just isn't enough time.
So here is an update. July went super fast. After the fourth we were busy just getting things organized for school. School clothes/supply shopping, getting the new bed time down to pat, reviewing, and trying to enjoy the last couple weeks of summer, just relaxing.
August 6th was Kaleb's first day back to school. He is in the 1st grade this year. He was excited to see his friends and his teacher . Ms. Morgan was his Kindergarten teacher and is now his first grade teacher (awesome)! The school is trying a "Looping" program. Studies show that kids who are looped with the same teacher and students do better in school all around. So I am game!!! We are currently getting used to our school routine. It's been a struggle to get Kaleb to concentrate on his homework(so far). He wants to play with his brother, watch T.V., and eat. Anything but homework. So, I have decided that since he gets a packet we will do it over two days and study the other two days. That makes it about 45mins a day of homework and studying. Pray for us, lol.
This past Saturday 8-25-12 we took the kids to High falls and Indian Springs State Parks. We had a "picnic". I so forgot the plates at home lol! Took some pictures with the kids and went on a Nature Scavenger Hunt. Boy, did they enjoy that!!! Since they enjoyed it so much they came home and had another one in the backyard. So, we as a family are going to start Geo Catching! It's like a treasure hunt while hiking. We get to hide/ find things while we are exploring the outside. I believe it will be a great family activity, while the weather permits.
Thats it for now folks, love ya

Holiday entertainment...
Busy week, days are running into each other it seems. I truly meant to post yesterday but, my mom called in the morning to see if B1, and B2 wanted to spend the night. UMMMM YES!!!! LOL. So, what do we do without kids, we go to the mall to school shop for them! Really? (we did go out to eat) It was nice to have a break tho...Thanks Mommy!!!! Love ya!!!
So, the fourth was good. We had family over to swim and grill out. About 6:30ish we packed into the car and headed to the Mall of Georgia to see the fireworks. They SUCKED period blank!!! I think coming from Cincinnati, Ohio and having the W.E.B.N. fireworks NOTHING will ever live up to them!!! But, after the fireworks, in the parking lot traffic, we did get some crazy entertainment. This man was being a jerk-off (that's nicely said)!!! We were ALL stuck trying to get out the parking lot. NO ONE WAS MOVING. So this man tries to squeeze between a parked car and a moving car(who mind you was in the RIGHT lane to get out). We really thought at first he was going to hit the moving car, so we let them move up to prevent them from getting hit. Then, the CRAZY man just keeps trying to squeeze EVEN MORE and ends up hitting the parked car. Not only did this fool hit the car then back up and hit it again, he did it three times. Little did he know that there were people in the parked car. Okay, so now a normal person would get out, apologize, and swap insurance and move on...No not the crazy man!!! The people in the parked car got out and were basically walking beside the crazy mans car yelling at him to stop bc he just hit them and he kept driving off saying "he didn't give a damn"..lol he is crazy!!!! Ya hurd CRAZY!!!! He just committed a hit and run! Is this man drunk, or just crazy and doesn't care? Oh, he was just crazy and didn't care. That was NUTS but, entertaining...

1st blog ever...
I read blogs all the time and it seems so therapeutic so I am going to give it a try. Being a SAHM I need an outlet. I want a place to tell the adventures of our lives! Share the good/bad times. Hopefully this blog will be full of laughs and lots of learning! But no guarantee bc I can easily get overwhelmed by the demand of my household! So there may be a few screams in between...

I am by far NO writer so its okay if your laugh at my careless writing (hopefully it won't be so bad but no promises).

Wanna get to know us? (closing my eyes and taking a deep breath)
Well here it goes...
Well here it goes...
I am 28, a wife of 6 yrs to my WONDERFUL husband Rick(29yrs old), a "momma" to our two rambunctious boys (B1 is 6yrs old and B2 is 3yrs old) and a step-mom of two beautiful girls (G1 is 9yrs old and G2 is 7yrs old)! We also have 3 fur babies, Lucky(husky mix), Layla(dachshund mix) and our newest baby Luke(chihuahua), all which have been rescued some how some way. Currently, I stay at home while my hubby is off to fulfill his new journey as a truck driver. (Kinda nervous bc he may be gone A LOT). My maternal grandma also lives with us. We call her G'ma. lol. She has been a great help to us lately!
All four of our kids play softball for a Christian league that my hubby coaches for (right now that is, you never know with each season who will play and who won't ;-)), so softball consumes our lives for about 4mths out of the year. Its fun and we meet good people but it can get overwhelming between that, school, and work. Plus the spring season gets EXTREMELY HOT!!!! lol. I believe that we will be adding dance, karate and probably wrestling to the list of sports within the next year. Besides sports, we love the outdoors. So, we try to explore somewhere new as often as possible. Right now our summer includes the pool and the Nintendo DS. The kiddos are obsessed with the Nintendo DS, the only thing that beats the DS is the pool! Go figure. This is the first year B1 has had any type video game bc I hate them. I'd rather them be outside being kids. We have had a lot happen over the past year so this will be a SLOW RELAXED HOME-BOUND SUMMER for us! My hubby was in CDL school for the first half summer and I'll be starting school in August if all goes well. I was attending GPC hoping to enter into their nursing program but I failed a class and lost my scholarship so it has to wait until next year. Meanwhile, I am going to take a CNA/PCT class so I can work part time to have extra money and time out of the house. Well, that is the Robinson family in a nut shell!!! You will get to know us better if you follow this blog!
Please join us on our journey called LIFE. Be a part of our good/bad times, our adventures, and of course our drama (there's always DRAMA lol).
